Strawberry Shortcake Bliss Balls {gf,v,rsf}

Sticking with my strawberry theme, I present to you my new favorite snack and dessert! These bliss balls are the ultimate healthy snack because they are loaded with only the best, nutrient dense ingredients, and they are perfect for grab n' go. For this recipe, I used some of the fresh, organic strawberries that I picked myself locally. This recipe also features ingredients, such as oats, nuts, dates, raw honey, Georgia Grinders famous pecan butter, and more. I love the level of sweetness these little bites have, and they are refined sugar free! They are loaded with fiber, healthy fats, carbohydrates, and proteins, along with powerful antioxidants, which also make for a great post workout snack. Plus, you've gotta love this fun, summer flavor!

 
 

RECIPE Prep time: 7 minutes

Makes: 16 balls


INGREDIENTS

1c gluten free rolled oats

1/2c mixed nuts {I use almond & pecan}

2tbs Georgia Grinders pecan butter {wellnesswithmak: 20% off code}

1tsp vanilla

4 pitted dates

2tbs raw honey/pure maple syrup

1tbs hemp seeds

3tbs flaxseed meal

handful chopped strawberries


METHOD

1. Soak dates in water for 5 minutes to soften.

2. Add all ingredients {besides strawberries} to a food processor to blend. Stop and scrape sides every so often.

3. Remove from blender and transfer into a large bowl.

4. Chop the strawberries small and fold into the batter. Add a little more rolled oats if too sticky.

5. Roll into balls {about 1inch thick} and store in the fridge in an air tight jar or container. If eating right away, place in the freezer for 10 minutes before enjoying.
